 nterpretation\n\nAbout the Symposium\nThe war in Ukraine has highlighted t
 he challenges faced by armed forces in responding to mass-casualty situati
 ons (MASCAL) and mortuary affairs\, as well as the broader human and ethic
 al dimensions of military operations.\nOne important but often less visibl
 e aspect concerns the role of military chaplains in supporting personnel c
 onfronted with death\, trauma\, and moral injury.\nUkrainian chaplains and
  their service coordinator will share firsthand experiences of how spiritu
 al support is organized and implemented in a wartime medico-spiritual cont
 ext.\nUkrainian military chaplains will address the following topics:\n\n\
 nChaplains in the Ukrainian Medical Forces Command\n\n\nSpiritual Care in 
 Mass-Casualty Situations\n\n\nReligious Support in the Conditions of Moder
 n Warfare\n\n\nMortuary Affairs: Legal\, Spiritual\, and Practical Approac
 hes in Ukraine\n\n\nOrganization of Military Chaplaincy in Ukraine\n\n\n 
 \nAdditional presentations will provide the Belgian perspective on those t
 opics and highlight scientific gaps related to spiritual and medical fitne
 ss in Belgium\, followed by a round-table discussion.\nThe final programme
  will be released in April 2026.\n\nWho Should Attend?\nThis event is open
