Hybrid 5G–Tactical Radio Networks
This work examines how integrating tactical radios with 5G through Multi‑Access (MA) connectivity can mitigate vulnerabilities observed in 5G deployments exposed to jamming and false base‑station attacks.
A prototype hybrid network combining 5G infrastructure with L3Harris AN/PRC‑152A radios enables simultaneous multi‑link communication and dynamic traffic steering via ATSSS.
Results show that this hybrid architecture significantly improves resilience, ensuring seamless failover and reduced data‑exposure risk in contested military environments.Speakers: Maj Mathias Becquaert (ERM-KMS), Mr Nathan Pralopetz (ERM-KMS), Mr Pouyan Ebrahimbabaie (ERM-KMS) -

Intégration d’un lien satellite Starlink Mini sur une plateforme UAV
The study explores integrating a Starlink Mini satellite terminal on a small UAV to enhance command‑and‑control resilience against RF jamming and range limitations.
A dual‑link architecture (RF + Starlink) with VPN over Raspberry Pi is developed to test performance, reliability, and automatic failover in realistic flight scenarios.
Expected outcomes include a validated prototype and a quantified assessment of when combined RF–satellite communication provides a significant operational advantage.Speaker: 2EV Noé Denis (ERM-KMS) -
