Description

No two wars are alike."

Be that as it may be, fighting in Ukraine demonstrates that future conflict involving Air Power and peers or near-peers is bound to be much more complex and dangerous than previous Air Power experiences in this millennium.

Is the fight in Ukraine the one we should be prepared for? Can proper acquisition and preparation save the lives of aviators in this new environment? Could Air Power properly continue to support the Joint or Multi-domain fight?  Do Air Forces need to develop sustainment plans for longer deployments and replacement operations? Should such plans include aircraft as well as pilots and other personnel? Should  arrangements be made with industry for speedy production or overhaul of our new aircraft as well as the development of an expanded capacity to produce munitions?

These questions lead us to this year's seminar, central question and theme: "Should we be prepared for an air attrition warfare in the future?"
