Interlevensbeschouwelijke ceremonie / Cérémonie interconvictionelle

Pro-Cathedral of the Holy Trinity

Pro-Cathedral of the Holy Trinity

Rue Capitaine Crespel 29, Brussels
Description

Since 1998, Veterans Day has paid tribute to those who have taken part in one or more high-risk missions abroad.

The Service for Religious and Moral Assistance (DRMB/SARM) of the Belgian Defense, composed of staff of all faiths and convictions but with a shared desire to build and live together, wishes in its own turn to pay tribute to veterans, peacemakers and protectors of democratic values.

Therefore, we organize this year, for the fourth time, a solemn inter-convictional ceremony. This time, this event will take place in the Anglican Pro-Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in Brussels on 30 May 2024 at 15:00 (arrival from 14:00).

Thanks to this year's theme, "Resilience and Flourishing", which places the focus on the regenerative and connective nature of sport, we are pleased to announce the close collaboration with the British Military Chaplaincy Services and with the Invictus Games Foundation, bringing together Belgian and British military representatives of the eight represented faiths and convictions (Anglicanism, Buddhism, Catholicism, Islam, Judaism, Organized Secularism, Orthodoxy, Protestantism) to remember and to thank and encourage our veterans.

Registrations are compulsory. For any information regarding the ceremony, please write to sarm.drmb.events@mil.be.
