Description

Dear colleagues,

As part of our ongoing commitment to strengthening research impact, we are pleased to host a session on valorization given by Dr. Hanane Oulevey, IPR Manager for Scientific Research at Royal Military Academy.

Valorization is the process of transforming research outcomes into tangible value, whether through innovation, societal impact, industry collaboration, or influence on public policy. It ensures that your work extends beyond academia and benefits the communities, industries, and sectors that need it most.

The session will provide you with practical insights into how to identify innovation potential, engage with external partners, and ensure that research results have a significant impact beyond academia.

The topic covered will be:

  • Pathways to valorization and collaboration opportunities
  • Building partnerships with external partners
  • Intellectual property protection and legal considerations (patents, copyrights, consortium agreements, confidentiality agreements NDAs, Material Transfer Agreements MTAs, …)
  • Using Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure and demonstrate impact
  • Introduction to the “Pre-Valorization Assessment Form” as a practical evaluation tool
  • Interactive discussion and exchange of experiences

Why attend?

  • Learn how to identify innovation potential in early-stage results
  • Understand the processes of intellectual property protection and technology transfer
  • Gain clarity on legal frameworks needed for collaboration
  • Discover tools and metrics to evaluate and advance your project’s impact

Whether your research is theoretical, applied, or somewhere in between, this session will help you consider it from the perspective of innovation and opportunities. Let’s turn knowledge into impact and action together.

We warmly encourage you to join this session and take part in the discussion.

We look forward to seeing you!
